Great News!

Calvin, Bailey, and Skyler have found a forever home!! Thanks to everyone for showing interest in the kittens. I got a lot more calls than I expected!

If you're still searching for a little kitten to bring into your home, please visit your local animal shelter where many kittens end up. Shelters are very open to having visitors stop in and spend time with the animals; chances are your new family member is just waiting for you to walk through the door! Another wonderful outlet to explore is petfinder.com. You can freely browse through hundreds of pet profiles to find the perfect addition to your household.

Please be sure to always spay and neuter the pets that you have now. Unwanted kittens, puppies, and other baby animals are discarded, abused, or outright killed due to irresponsibility. Visit with your veterinarian or your local animal shelter if you're having financial troubles. Many establishments will be more than happy to exchange a spay/neuter operation for some volunteer time.

I wish you all the very best of luck as you search for that special, furry someone!

Some Overall Information

(From front to back: Skyler, Bailey, Olive, Calvin.)

All three kittens--Calvin, Bailey, and Skyler--are healthy and thriving little fluff balls! Some overall information of them can be found here:

  • All three kittens tested negative for feline parvovirus.
  • These kittens are intact, meaning that they are not spayed or neutered. They will only be allowed to go to a forever home that promises to have this operation provided for them after they weigh more than 6 lbs.
  • They are estimated to be three months old as of Oct. 24th.
  • They are not declawed, so they must be provided with scratching outlets.
  • They get along well with gentle, quiet dogs and friendly, social cats.
  • As with all animals, these kittens should be supervised when being handled by any child younger than 10 years.
  • They are litter-box trained and are indoor only cats.
  • They have been dewormed and are not due for another dose until Nov. 24th.
  • They have medical records that can be easily provided to you.

If you think you'd make the perfect home for these little ones, don't hesitate to contact me via email: schnurrka@gmail.com, or my cell number: (608) 548-5840.

I look forward to hearing from you!

A Little Backstory...

Hello there!

Thank you for visiting my blog. I'm so pleased that you're interested in the kittens! Here's a little bit about their history.

On October 19th, my dad found a cardboard box lying beside our driveway. We own a small dairy farm, and some insensitive people dropped off four gray kittens. We tried the rest of the weekend to get some of our local shelters to take them in, but all the shelters around us were just too full. Their chances of surviving in a shelter were minimal given the epidemics of ring worm, colds, and other common feline diseases going around as the shelter was stretched to capacity. The only thing left to do was to foster them myself.

It's been a very busy two weeks! The kittens have gone to the veterinarian and one, a sweet little girl I named Olive, has even found a home! Her two sisters, Bailey and Skyler, and her brother, Calvin, are still awaiting their forever home. Maybe that will be you? :)
